Positive: Centrally located on the 7th floor. The place was bright and quite clean. The pull-down bed was ok, good covers. The kitchen was used, not new nor spotless clean, and- compared to many other apartments we have booked over the years - had no coffee or automatic coffee machine, no tea bags, nothing at all!. Only 1 sponge and detergents for dishes and 1 capsule for the washing machine. No balcony.
Negative: Decorated with cheap IKEA furniture, one cheap sofa usable as a single bed, 2 small tables run down and even wobbly that were very sad looking. No side tables nor lamps beside the pull-down bed, no place to put your books or else next to the bed. It's very unpleasant to get up from the bed and turn off the main switch. Also, some spot lights on the ceiling didn’t work. Sadly, the window shutters did not work and were stuck , so we had to pull them down by hand with quite some effort. The curtains were very cheap and did not shut out the light. They should fit proper curtains to block off the light. Only view was that of an office building opposite. The TV wasn’t tuned in with all the channels, it was quite lousy. Wifi didn’t work properly, this was also a problem. The chairs were not in a good position as they were hanging on a holder on the wall, right next to the bathroom and we bumped into them often.
Summary: They could do better for us tourists in Madrid!!

Positive: Clean and well equipped with all necessary equipment. Small but enough to open 2 large luggage. At lift landing, there is no need to lug the luggage through stairs. Located near Atocha Train Station.
Negative: The owner only provides door access information. Would be great if more details are available such as. 1. Upon entering the door at street level, do not use the first lift u see, go straight in and u will see a second lift. Take that lift n u will reach the apartment without having to struggle with a flight of stairs. 2. Please find the Wifi details on a Fridge magnet. We thought that the fridge magnet contained phone numbers for take out meals like in Korea Airbnb, so we didn't take a second look. 3. There were no instructions to pull down the windows shutters. It is no problem for us as we have been traveling around Europe so we know how to do it. Might be a problem for some. 4. The pull-down bed is a safety issue. It has very sharp corners at both ends. Both of us knocked n injured a couple of times during our 2 days stay.

Positive: Views 🥰 This is my second time staying here. It’s very nice and the staff are very friendly.
Negative: The stairs could be a pain. Dieppe has currently closed the main bridge between the Ferry Port and the town. With taxis being pretty much non-existent, this is a pain. I have visited Dieppe many, many times over the years, but I will probably go elsewhere Neil it is re opened. Which is a shame for me.
